Acupressure points to benefit your child. (Acupressure instead of acupuncture is often used for infants and kids, as they tend to be more sensitive than adults.) This point, known to acupuncturists as Large Intestine 4, is located between your child's thumb and forefinger, on the back of the hand. It is excellent for cooling heat and aiding the digestion. Many infants and small children with abdominal pain, constipation or bloating can benefit from this point. Pressing this point increases circulation within the energy pathways and can also be used preventively upon awakening each morning to avoid developing the symptoms.
