A 22-year-old Rohnert Park man was arrested last week on a pair of drug charges.

According to a report by Rohnert Park Dept. of Public Safety, an officer was on a routine patrol and conducted a traffic stop on a driver who failed to use his turn signal to change lanes.

During the course of the stop, the officer noted a smell of marijuana inside the vehicle. While conducting the search, the officer found marijuana and cocaine for sale. The driver, Benjamin Khiobouakham, was arrested for possession of drugs for sale and transportation of drugs.

During the investigation, the officer obtained a search warrant and with the assistance of a Rohnert Park detective served the search warrant at Khiobouakham’s residence. During the service of the search warrant, additional cocaine and marijuana were found, along with evidence of drug sales. A rifle and a shotgun were also seized as evidence.
