A Rohnert Park man was arrested on Monday night for allegedly firing four gunshots into a residence on the 11000 block of Old Redwood Highway in Windsor.

No one inside the residence was hit, but the victim’s vehicle in the drive way was struck with the four bullets. After investigating the incident, Sonoma County Sheriff’s deputies determined the suspect to be Christopher Gornowicz, 22.

Gornowicz was arrested at a residence on Tapadera Drive in Santa Rosa. As of Tuesday afternoon, Gornowicz remained in custody at Sonoma County Jail.

According to the Sheriff’s report, the victims were at home when they heard a vehicle slow down in front of the residence and subsequently the four gunshots. They then heard the vehicle, a black Honda Civic, speed away southbound on Old Redwood Highway.

Deputies located two spent shell casings on the front passenger seat and the driver’s floorboard. Also upon Gornowicz’s arrest, deputies found an assault type rifle in the residence.

Gornowicz was booked into Sonoma County Jail for shooting at an inhabited dwelling. His bail was set at $100,000.
