Rohnert Park Dept. of Public Safety officers arrested a man for driving under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident Tuesday afternoon.

According to a report by the RPDPS, witnesses said 29-year-old Jared Gregor Tortz, of RP, was driving his vehicle through the Raley's shopping center parking lot and hit a parked car. Tortz also was seen driving away from the scene, and witnesses called police. A RPDPS motorcycle officer stopped Tortz less than 15 minutes later on Golf Course Drive near Gold Way.

The officer performed DUI field sobriety tests on Tortz and subsequently arrested him for DUI and hit and run. He was taken to Sonoma County Jail. Tortz has been arrested twice before for offenses involving alcohol and once before for hit and run.

How about crushing Mr. Tortz's car before giving it back to him?
