The inaugural summer season of the MasterCard Performance Series begins with the revival of a community tradition – a performance by Weill Hall’s resident orchestra, the Santa Rosa Symphony.

Featuring Principal Pops Conductor Michael Berkowitz, and famed Broadway vocalists Doug LaBrecque and Lisa Vroman, this family-friendly concert will culminate in a fireworks display.

The celebration begins on Thursday, July 4 at 7:30 p.m. with a repertoire of patriotic mainstays from “America the Beautiful” to “God Bless America” with pops arrangements including Ragtime’s “Make Them Hear You” and “Bring Him Home” from Les Miserables, before closing with Gershwin’s beloved “Girl Crazy Overture.”

Following the concert, a fireworks display set to music will take place over the Sonoma State University campus. Tickets for the evening range in price from $25 to $85.

Lawn seating for youth 12 and under is half price.

In addition to the 1400 seats inside Weill Hall, summer concertgoers will have their choice of table and lawn seating in outdoor sections.

Tickets to the Fourth of July Celebration range from $25 - $45 for outdoor seats and $45 - $85 for concert hall seats. Tickets can be purchased by phone at (866) 955-6040 (Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.) or online at http://gmc.sonoma.edu.
