Connor Littleton’s pitching and an offense that rapped out 10 hits were more than enough for Rancho Cotate High’s baseball team to power past Windsor 9-0 in a North Bay League contest on Tuesday, April 16.

Rancho Cotate got all the runs it would need in the first inning by pushing two across home plate.

The Cougars added another in the second, two in each of the second, third and sixth innings.

Ryan Haug and Adam Nelson each had two hits to lead the offense. Nelson also scored three times.

The victory ups  the Cougars’ record to 5-2 in the NBL and 10-7 overall.

The Cougars rebounded from their tough loss to Casa Grande by scoring runs in the sixth, seventh and eighth innings to overtake host Santa Rosa High on Friday afternoon.

Anthony Sosa delivered the game-winning hit in the top of the eighth. Noah Rogerson was the winning pitcher for Rancho Cotate after relieving Will Felton. Sosa led the offense with a 2-for-4 performance at the plate.

Felton was  strong on the mound, striking out nine while walking none and hitting a batter. He gave up six hits and only one earned run in six innings of work.
