|Export seminar scheduled for May 9 at Rooster Run
The Sonoma County Economic Development Board and the United States Department of Commerce will host a first of its kind export seminar in Petaluma on May 9 at 8 a.m.
The seminar will be held at Rooster Run Golf Course, 2301 E. Washington St.
Sonoma County Board of Supervisors Chair, David Rabbitt, who will address seminar attendees, said, “Exports are a key economic opportunity for the North Bay region as we continue down the path to recovery. Companies that develop new markets overseas could be well-positioned to expand their operations and create jobs.”
North Bay companies must have the needed tools to expand their sales globally. The seminar will explain the requirements to expand sales into foreign markets through the “Export University” format, the leading provider in the United States of export training and education. The curriculum will include export logistics, trade financing, global marketing, and U.S. Government export resources.
Advanced registration is $45 and closes May 6. More information is available on the EDB’s website at SonomaEDB.org or by contacting EDB executive director Ben Stone at 565-7170.
