Club Credo, on the campus of Credo High School in Rohnert Park, will host an art show and poetry slam tonight, March 22, beginning at 5:30 p.m.

The art show at 5:30 p.m. features original paintings by Credo student Max Hyde and linocut prints by Credo freshmen and sophomores. The nightclub show at 6:30 p.m. includes featured poets Brianna Sage and Dan Gaines, 10th-grade Credo poets, new vaudevillian sword swallower Tobias Weinberger and stand-up bassist and Credo music teacher Eddie Guthman.

Hyde, a sophomore, converted the walls of the Club Credo performance space into an art gallery as his Eagle Scout project.

“Along with several very talented artists I have created an art gallery for the North Bay’s young talent. Also premiered are the art works of the students of Credo High School printmakers,” Hyde said.

The art show is free. Tickets are $10 at the door for the poetry slam.

Club Credo is created and operated by the students of Credo High as part of their Financial Literacy course. Credo is located at Southwest Boulevard at Camino Colegio.
