Bladder 63 can help with toothaches and cramping of calves |
This point, known to acupuncturists as Bladder 63, is located on the side of your foot, in the depression just behind the tuberosity (bump) of the fifth metatarsal bone. It is excellent for toothache pain, as well as pain of the muscles and joints of the lower body. Many people experiencing jaw pain, or pain of the low back and cramping of the calves, can benefit from this point. (Interestingly, this point was used in ancient China for what is described as "white tiger joint pain," called thus because sufferers likened their severe pain to the bite of a tiger.)
Pressing this point increases circulation within the energy pathways and can also be used preventively upon awakening each morning to avoid developing the symptoms.
