Ten Sonoma County Artists will display some of their best work at the library at Art Exhibit 2013 March 5-16, and the public is invited to meet these artists at a reception 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6.
Those invited to participate are: Tim Brody and Pam Nelson, both of Rohnert Park;  Peter Kassebaum of Petaluma; Todd Loyal Rose of Sebastopol; Janice Thomas of Windsor; Phyllis Rapp and Donna Schaffer of Healdsburg, and Mary J. Ruggles, Tamra Sanchez and Sally Tjostelson of Santa Rosa.
 Friends of the Library and the Library Art Committee are sponsoring this event. The library is located at 6250 Lynne Conde Way in Rohnert Park and is closed on Sundays and Mondays.
Doors to the show room open each day at noon. The show will close at 3 p.m. March 16.

• Our book discussion group meets next on Tuesday, March 19, discussing the poetry of Emily Dickinson, the Sonoma County Big Read selection for 2013. Copies of a book of her poems are available at the library information desk.

Basic library Internet
Learn to use the library catalog and databases on Tuesday, Feb. 26, from 10-11 a.m.
Sign up in advance, as space is limited to 2 people. Sign up in person at the reference/information desk or call 584-9121 ext. 0920.

Children’s programs
Baby Time Storytimes for ages 0-17 months are on Tuesdays at 10:15 a.m., Wiggle Times for toddlers are on Thursdays at 10:15 a.m., and Pre-School Storytimes for ages 3-5 are on Thursdays at 11 a.m. 

The Read to a Dog reading program takes place each Wednesday from 3:30-4:30 p.m.  and each Saturday from 2-3 p.m. Come sign up that afternoon to read to an appreciative dog.

Special children’s program
The next Saturday Storytime with Pam Brown will be on Feb. 23 at 11 a.m. This free program with stories and crafts is for the ages of 2-6, and the theme is “Greedy Goats”.
