Lawrence Jones Middle School’s seventh-grade boys’ basketball  team ran its winning streak to six games by rolling over Altimira of Sonoma, 60-36, on Jan. 17 in Sonoma.

This was the epitome of a total team effort as everyone on the squad scored.

Jake Simmons led the effort with 14 points, followed by Ryan Matteri with 12. Akeiko Faagata-Averbuck dropped in eight points.

“This was a great overall effort by the entire team,” head coach Frank Conklin said. “They are playing sound basketball and challenging teammates to improve as the season winds down.”
