The Lawrence Jones Middle School 7th-grade boys basketball team improved to 2-0 by beating Geyserville 67-6. That is not a typo.

It was a total team effort as all 12 players on the team got significant playing time. It also was a good opportunity for the Jaguars to work on certain aspects of their game.

Dante Johnson came off the bench to lead the Jaguars with eight points, followed by Mikey Bartolozzi and Kyle Luque with six points apiece, Noah Steverson with five and Gianni Blondina and Akeiko Faagata-Averbuck with four each.

On Dec. 6, the Jaguars were not as fortunate as they lost to Windsor 48-35. The Jaguars’ 8th-grade team also suffered a 49-35 loss to Windsor.
