On Nov. 30 and Dec. 1, the 15-voice chamber choir Circa 1600 and local organist David Parsons will join forces to present "An Early Music Christmas," a collection of holiday gems from composers such as Josquin, Palestrina and Bach.
The centerpiece is the Dies sanctificatus illuxit nobis ("A holy day has dawned for us") motet and mass by Palestrina. Interspersed with these are carols and other settings that deliver a diverse feast of seasonal delights.
The Nov. 30 concert begins at 8 p.m. in the Saturday Afternoon Club, 430 10th Street, Santa Rosa.
The Dec. 1 performance starts at 8 p.m. in the Petaluma United Church of Christ, 825 Middlefield Drive.
Tickets ranging from $12 to $20 can be purchased online at or by phone at 877-914-2224.
