Firefighters from the Rohnert Park Dept. of Public Safety and other agencies battled a fire in a mobile home on Tuesday night.
The blaze at 405 Corte Pintado in the Rancho Verde Mobile Home Park was reported at 7:11 p.m. The residents, including five children, were not at home during the fire, and RPDPS received several reports from neighbors.

RPDPS got assistance from Rincon Valley Fire and Rancho Adobe Fire. Firefighters were greeted with a portion of the home fully engulfed in flames. Officials noted firefighters saw flames coming out of the mobile home's windows and roof. Fortunately, the fire was contained before it was able to spread to surrounding homes.

Smoke and heat damage affected the portions of the mobile home that were not affected by flames, and fire crews were able to douse the flames before all of the residents’ belongings were lost.

The fire is estimated to have caused about $70,000 in damage and remains under investigation by RPDPS.
