| Rancho Cotate girls reach NCS soccer semis |
Rancho Cotate High’s girls’ soccer team advanced to the semifinals of the North Coast Section Div. I playoffs by defeating Fortuna 2-1 and by beating Cardinal Newman on Saturday, Oct. 31.
Mariah Meuse scored two goals for the Cougars in the playoff opener against Fortuna.
Tea Lopes and Alissa Hickling each had assists for Rancho Cotate.
The Cougars advanced to the semifinals on Nov. 3 when they knocked off Cardinal Newman, 1-0.
Rancho Cotate faced Montgomery in Wednesday’s semifinal. Details of the game were unavilable when The Community Voice went to print.
