WHAT: Creek Stewardship Day
WHEN: Saturday, Nov. 3, 9 a.m.-noon.
WHERE: Falletti Park, off Gravenstein Way (east of the intersection of Old Redwood Highway and Highway 116, just north of Peet’s Coffee and Walgreens).
DETAILS: Help take care of native trees and shrubs along the Laguna de Santa Rosa channel in Cotati by weeding and mulching, maybe some planting.  Tasks will depend on weather and conditions on the ground on the day.  Dress for work and weather with old clothes, in layers, with boots or sturdy shoes, and bring raingear.  Heavy rain cancels. Please bring your own drinking water bottle.   Gloves, tools, and some refreshments provided.

WHAT: Laguna Environmental Center, Open House 
WHEN: Saturday, Nov. 10, 11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
WHERE:  Laguna Environmental Center, 900 Sanford Road, Santa Rosa (north of Sebastopol) or carpool from Cotati/Rohnert Park.
DETAILS:  A special Cotati Creek Critters group visit to the Laguna Environmental Center.  Learn about the natural and cultural history of the Laguna de Santa Rosa and historic Stone Farm by taking a guide-led tour, with hands-on activities for all the family, bird watching, etc.  Bring a picnic lunch.  Carpooling encouraged.
