Annual Harvest Supper planned for November 2

The Sitting Room’s annual Harvest Supper, a benefit for The Living Room, is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 2, from 6-9 p.m. This year, aside from some authentic Southern cooking, the benefit will feature Waights Taylor speaking about his memoir/history/reflection entitled “Our Southern Home.”

The Sitting Room has a copy on the local writers’ shelf for those who wish to preview the book. It is a prize-winning book. Waights served many years on the Board for the Living Room. 

Susan Pace-Koch is donating two cases of her most recent children's book to The Living Room.

Donations such as diapers, packaged and healthy snacks, socks, gloves, hats, soaps and shampoos motel size, gift cards and, of course, money are always needed at this daytime shelter for homeless women and children. (Any checks should be made out to The Living Room.)
