This point, known to acupuncturists as Liver 5, is located five inches above the tip of the medial malleolus (that protruding bone of the inner ankle); you will find this point on the midline of the inner surface of the tibia bone. It is excellent for difficulty emptying the bladder fully, irregular menstruation, or muscular weakness and atrophy of the legs. Pressing this point increases circulation within the energy pathways, and can also be used preventively upon awakening each morning to avoid developing the symptoms.
