Roy Boateng and Eduardo Rodriguez helped Rancho Cotate's soccer team rebound from a loss to Casa Grande of Petaluma by scoring goals in a 2-0 victory over host Windsor on Thursday.

Goalkeeper Danny Ortiz made those goals stand up with a stellar performance between the pipes. Boateng's goal came in the first half, while Rodriguez got his in the second to give the Cougars a little breathing room.

The Cougars improved to 8-2-3 overall and 4-2-1 in the North Bay League. The Cougars don't play again until Tuesday, when they host the Santa Rosa Panthers. That game kicks off at 6 p.m.

Rancho Cotate is in second place in the NBL behind unbeaten Maria Carrillo.
