The 6th Street Playhouse will present “Clowns on a Stick: To Bury a Cat,” a non-speaking clown performance by local troupe Clowns on a Stick. The show, co-developed by Clowns on a Stick and Theatre of Yugen (San Francisco), premieres today, Oct. 5 at 8 p.m. and runs through Oct. 14.

This simple show will offend no one, but will entertain everyone with its classic clown antics, live accordion accompaniment and fearless clown chaos.

A woman trying to bury her beloved cat is having trouble letting go, both figuratively and literally.

The minister is impatient and impious, and the gravedigger is sure to get something wrong with every task. Dead people come back to life, and patty-cake girls give gravitas to absurd ceremonies.
