Wells Fargo Center to host ballot initiative forum Oct. 4

The Sonoma County Education Coalition is joining with United Way of the Wine Country and Community Foundation Sonoma County to sponsor a voter education forum on Propositions 30 and 38, two ballot measures directly affecting the future of the education budget in California.The State of Education Forum will be held Oct. 4, from 4-6  p.m., at the Wells Fargo Center for the Arts in Santa Rosa.

The event is free and those who plan to attend should  RSVP to Rosa Zamudio at  rzamudio@sonomacf.org, by Oct. 1.
The forum will feature presentations by Margaret Weston, a fellow at the Public Policy Institute of California, and Edgar Cabral, an analyst with the California Legislative Analyst’s Office. Weston’s areas of expertise include K-12 education, school finance, and categorical programs.

She will provide an overview of the state of education today and highlight some key issues.
