|Club Credo to host rock band, comedy act Oct. 5
Credo High School, Rohnert Park's public Waldorf high school, presents Club Credo, its new student-run nightclub for both adults and teens, on Friday, Oct. 5 at 7 p.m. The club, located at 1290 Southwest Blvd. in Rohnert Park, is for two generations – teens (14 and older) and adults.
The entertainment is good fun for both generations. The Oct. 5 show features comedy by Mahatma-Moses and music by Swindlefish. Tickets are $10 each and are available in advance with credit card by calling Credo at 664-0600. Tickets are also available at the door, while they last.
Swindlefish, a band from San Francisco, consists of front man Ben Barnes, Mike McKevitt, Lizie Skow, Josh Barnes and Brendan White. It is a band with roots in bluegrass and rock.
Mahatma-Moses is a comedy act consisting of fun, intellectual, introspective humor that is clean, smart, fun for all ages and involves Jewish and Indian cultures and people.
Club Credo is created and operated by the students at Credo High as part of their freshman Financial Literacy course. For more information about Credo, go to www.credohigh.org. Running aspects of the nightclub is a first job for many Credo students. Credo student and Club Credo CEO Kendra Mills said, “A two-generation night club is a uniquely Credo idea. The business experience of working briefly in the entertainment industry is exciting for most high school students. Our student-run night club is appealing to both teenagers and adults alike.”
