Caffeine's effects on cycling is the focus of a new study being conducted by SSU kinesiology professor Bulent Sokmen, who wants to recruit 20 experienced cyclists who train more than 100 miles a week as subjects.

Sokmen, an exercise physiologist, is looking for 10 males and 10 females between the ages of 18-45 who could make a total commitment of approximately eight hours over several visits.

Subjects will visit the human performance lab at SSU three times: one for baseline testing and two in the morning for experimental trials. Participants should be able to complete two hours of intermittent exercises and time trials immediately after.
Payment is $50 in addition to individual VO2max and body composition results provided.

Interested persons should contact, Professor Bulent Sokmen, 664-2789 or by e-mailing him at sokmen@sonoma.edu.
