| Animals seized from home in Occidental available for adoption |
More than 65 animals seized from a private home in Occidental last month are now available for adoption from Sonoma County Animal Care and Control.
Each of the animals has been examined, and when necessary, treated by a veterinarian, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, wormed, flea treated and micro chipped.
The majority of the animals are dogs, although two cats are available. For more information, contact Sonoma County Animal Shelter at 565-7100, or shelter supervisor Cathy McCafferty at 565-7109 or cmacafferty@sonoma-county.org.
Sonoma County Animal Care and Control has held the animals since they were seized in early August. Donations to offset the cost of food, care and veterinary treatment are accepted. To make a donation, mail a check to: Sonoma County Animal Care and Control, 1247 Century Ct., Santa Rosa, CA 95403. List “Animal Welfare Fund” on the memo line.
Sonoma County Animal Care and Control is open Tuesday through Saturday from noon - 5:30 p.m.
