Bronson to play house concert
Bookmark and Share

The house concert is considered one of the newest and coolest venues for musicians to get in front of an audience. Gentry Bronson, a performer, songwriter and international touring pianist from Petaluma, will share his songs, such as “Wild Women” and “Beautiful Ghost” and many of his ballads from his new record “Within A Sigh and A Curse,” as well as many of his amusing stories at a house concert in Petaluma.

Bronson will perform on Sunday, Sept. 16, with Bruce Kurnow of Petaluma (a multi-instrumentalist who will play the Celtic harp, keyboard and harmonica) and vocalist Shelby Grolig, of Santa Rosa. A $15 donation is suggested.  A potluck will be held at 2 p.m. with the concert at 4. There is limited seating, so call 707-763-0100 for tickets and location. Additional information can be found at www.gentrybronson.com.

According to Bronson, this isn’t his first house concert. He has performed since 2004 at concerts all over the United States and Europe. The local performance will be Bronson’s first Bay Area show since entertaining in the Midwest over the summer.
“The house concert is a huge new trend,” Bronson explained. “With many of the clubs geared towards booking tribute bands, the house concert is geared towards club goers who would like a more intimate connection with an artist.”
