The fourth annual Rohnert Park Chili ‘n Wheels chili cook-off and classic car show takes place Saturday, Sept. 8.

Last year, more than 4,000 people showed up to sample the chili, check out the booths and to marvel at the classic cars.

There are expected to be more than 40 booths of chili to sample and more than 100 classic pre-1975 cars on display.

Individual pre-1975 car clubs and owners will be displaying their classic cars in specific classes including foreign car, custom car and American classic.

Also on hand will be former National Football League players, including Honor Jackson and a host of celebrity judges including: Letitia Turner Hanke-Ryzhkov, President, North Bay Black Chamber of Commerce; Samantha Acosta of Sigma Omega Nu; Aleta and Vesta Copestakes, of the Sonoma County Gazette; Gina Belforte, Rohnert Park City Council; The Community Voice's Dave Williams; and kids from Fence at the Top, which will receive the proceeds from this event.

Admission is free, and there will be family style entertainment as well as a beer garden.

The event runs from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on Sept. 8 at the Driven Raceway parking lot in Walmart Plaza, 4601 Redwood Drive in RP.
