A Rohnert Park teen was arrested and booked into Sonoma County Jail by Petaluma police for suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.

Police said Brianna Cruz, 18, was driving in Petaluma a little before 9 p.m., when she spotted her boyfriend driving another vehicle with a female passenger. Cruz chased the other car through Petaluma for 10 minutes as her boyfriend took evasive measures, according to the police.

Police said Cruz, upon coming upon the other vehicle at the intersection of Madison and Ellis streets, intentionally rammed into the other vehicle several times, causing significant damage to the vehicle and sending the female passenger to Petaluma Valley Hospital with minor injuries. The female passenger was released from the hospital later that evening.
