Sonoma County parents struggling to find ways to pay for their children’s college education can get solutions to their college funding problems when college funding advisor Gary Liess teaches a free educational college financial planning workshop for the parents of high school sophomores, junior and seniors.

Learn how to pay for college in today’s economy without relying on 529 plans, expensive private student loans or raiding retirement accounts.  Learn how to apply for every grant, low interest loan and need based scholarship for which a child may be eligible.

These are just a few of the topics that will be discussed.

The workshop will be held on Thursday, Aug. 30, at 6:30 p.m. at the Flamingo Hotel and Spa, 2777 Fourth Street in Santa Rosa.  For workshop reservations call the (888) 568-1968 day or night.
