What: Discover California Grasslands (Inside-Outside Nature Education Series)
When: Monday, Nov. 2, 7 p.m.
Where: Stony Point Room, Ray Miller Community Center, 216 E. School St., Cotati (behind Cotati City Hall)
Details: Presentation by Wade Belew, Stewardship Coordinator for the Cotati Creek Critters and President-Elect of the California Native Grasslands Association. In this fascinating presentation you will learn grasslands are very productive and diverse biologically and provide numerous ecosystem services benefiting humans and natural systems alike. Refreshments provided. Donations welcome.

What: Creek Stewardship Day
When: Saturday, Nov. 14, 9 a.m.-noon
Where: Cotati City well lot no. 2 on Lakewood Ave.
Details: We hope to be planting native understory plants - grasses, sedges and rushes - but exactly what we do will depend on the weather, conditions on the ground and other factors. Dress for work and weather with sturdy boots or shoes, layers, old clothes, rain gear. Tools, gloves and refreshments provided. Bring your own re-usable water bottle.
