Zane to speak at Empire commencement

Shirlee Zane, chairwoman of the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors, will deliver the commencement address at Empire College's semiannual graduation exercises on Monday, July 16, 2012, at 7 p.m. at the Wells Fargo Center for the Arts.
 Lynae Miller, who is graduating from the Specialized Associate Degree-Medical Assistant program, will speak on behalf of the class of 150 students, and instructor Rose Batzdorff will offer remarks from the Empire College faculty.
 Serving North Bay residents for more than 50 years, Empire College is an accredited college offering five specialized associate degree programs, as well as twenty career training programs in accounting, information technology, legal and medical office careers, office administration, and tourism and hospitality.
