|COTS seeks donations
COTS (Committee On The Shelterless) is asking the community to help with donated furniture and furnishings for families.
COTS is beginning a brand new program in partnership with the City of Petaluma to provide three families with their own homes in Petaluma, calling these apartments “Intention Houses.”
Families in the Intention House program have proven their ability to live independently and will be chosen to occupy these homes or apartments based on their track records in the Shared Transitional Housing program. The Intention House program offers each family an apartment of their own at a rent equal to 30 percent of the Petaluma Area Median Income level. Each family also has a case manager, an individual action plan and programs and services to move them forward into independent housing within the two years they have to work in the program.
Because this is a brand new program, beginning in November of this year, COTS needs to furnish the apartments as quickly as possible.
If you can help, please contact Monica Savon at 971-0009 or e-mail her at firstname.lastname@example.org to make arrangements for pick-up or drop-off.
