| RP girl suffers head injury in bike crash |

A 6-year-old girl was airlifted to Children's Hospital in Oakland April 18 after suffering a potentially severe head injury as the result of a solo bicycle collision.
The collision, according to a Rohnert Park Dept. of Public Safety report, occurred around 5:20 p.m. on the 700 block of East Cotati Avenue and Lancaster Drive.
Paramedics on the scene determined the girl, who was not wearing a protective helmet, had what could be a serious injury, and the R.E.A.C.H. helicopter was dispatched to the scene.
Public safety officers blocked off surrounding streets, allowing the helicopter to land in the field area on East Cotati Avenue.
