Sonoma County Master Gardeners present “Recipe for a Healthy Garden” Saturday, Oct. 17, 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Meet the Author: Lorraine Hee-Chorley, author of “Chinese in Mendocino” will be at the library Saturday, Oct. 17, 2 p.m. Hee-Chorley researched and wrote this book as a memorial to the several hundreds of Chinese that used to populate the Mendocino County area, including her great-grandfather, Lee Sing John, founder of the Taoist Kwan Tai Temple in the village of Mendocino in 1854.
Book discussion group next meets Wednesday, Oct. 21, 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., to discuss “The Ghost Map: The Story of London’s Most Terrifying Epidemic - and How it Changed Science, Cities, and the Modern World” by Steven Johnson. Copies are available for checkout at the Library information desk.
Wiggle Time Storytimes for with songs and stories for ages 1-2 are Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. This storytime includes songs, stories and musical fun for the youngest children and their families.
Pre-School Storytimes for ages 3-5 are Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. This storytime includes stories, songs and fun for pre-school age children and their families.
Halloween Programs-Saturday Storytime with Pam Brown for ages 2-6. “Boo! - Not So Scary Stories” with stories and crafts Oct. 24 at 11 a.m. Family Evening Storytime for ages 2 and up Wednesday, Oct. 28 at 7 p.m. Come in costume if you like.
