Cross and Crown to host Chamber Singers April 22
Bookmark and Share

Twenty choristers, the Sonoma County Chamber Singers, will be performing in a free concert April 22 at Cross and Crown Lutheran Church in Rohnert Park. The concert will begin at 2 p.m.

Talents of the chorus are drawn from all over the North Bay and include RP’s Gail Bowers, who was recently named Music Director of the Year by Northern California Band and Choral Directors Assn. All members have allied talents in composition teaching, conducting, opera, acting, as well as their voices. The title of the free concert is “Time Signatures,” a spring concert with a seasonal theme. It’s an eclectic song package ranging from the haunting and somber “In Remembrance” by Jeffrey Ames, to the raucous “What Shall We Do With the Drunken Sailor?” Selections will include works from sacred to secular plus original compositions by chorus members.
