A man who robbed the Valero gas station Tuesday morning on Southwest Boulevard in Rohnert Park remains at large.

The Rohnert Park Dept. of Public Safety is searching for  a suspect described as a 6-foot tall adult male, approximately 30 years old with a thin build and no facial hair. According to Lt. Jeff Taylor, the suspect wore what appeared to be a brown hoodie and a denim jacket.

He hid his face with the hood of his jacket while robbing the gas station with a knife. He escaped by running to the rear of the gas station.

He got away with $288. Officers immediately set up a perimeter around the gas station and received assistance from Cotati’s K9 unit. The Dept. of Public Safety also is poring through surveillance video. The department is also reviewing surveillance video from the service mart, and seeking the help of local businesses with security cameras.
