Two options for Sonoma Grove to be explored

The council instructed staff to explore two options - set up a citywide rent control ordinance for trailer parks only, or, see if a non-profit corporation like Caritas would be interested in buying Sonoma Grove. Caritas owns two mobile home parks in Rohnert Park: Las Casitas and Valley Village.

Builders support regulatory changes for banks' lending activities
The National Association of Realtors is protesting rulings by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency that the trade group says "will inevitably lead to national banks becoming actively involved in real estate development and brokerage." The OCC regulates banking activities.

Real estate refinancings hit 4-year low Purchase loans benefit from lower interest rates in latest survey

Overall mortgage applications tumbled 1.4 percent last week on a seasonally adjusted basis from the week before, as refinancings fell for the third consecutive week, the Mortgage Bankers Association reported today.
